A note from Susan Gianevsky!

I have never visited a Go Vita store that supports wellness as your store does. It is a breath of FRESH AIR seeing health decorating your shelves. Your team are so well trained to support every customer that walks into your store. I always feel uplifted when I walk into your store and am inspired to try new products to improve the health of my clients. I also see your store as an inspirational platform to learn more about new ways to support health and wellbeing.

I ate my placenta!

I ate my placenta, sounds gross, right? Well not really, I didn’t fry it up for dinner or put it in my morning protein shake; I had it encapsulated! This ancient Chinese tradition involves a professional who steams, de-hydrates then grinds it down and places into capsules. A new mother takes two capsules twice a day for two weeks then slowly reduces the amount until finished or freeze some for later.

The Greek island where people forget to die

On the Greek island of Ikaria, people suffer 80 per cent less dementia, 50 per cent less heart disease and 20 per cent less cancer than the rest of the world. Marcus Pearce considers why. Known as “the island where people forget to die”, Ikaria first came to prominence when National Geographic journalist, Dan Beuttner and his team, discovered the island as a Blue Zone. There are five Blue Zones in the world – small pockets on earth where the population enjoys longer lifespans than the average. Okinawa, Sardinia, Nicoya in Costa Rica and Loma Linda in California all share with Ikaria this prestigious title.

Killing her Softly

You wouldn’t want to eat food that contains high amounts of chemicals, but do you know what you’re putting on your skin? When I first started working at Go Vita at 17 years of age, I read an article called “killing her softly” the article was written about the volume of chemicals a typical woman is exposed to within 2 hours of waking.
